The assets of Aaron Swafford, dec. are insufficient to pay debts and liabilities of the estate. He was also indebted to various other firms and individuals. Rankin and Alfred Swafford charge that defendants have no right to three slaves (Rachael, Lizzie, and Andrew), and that they be sold with the proceeds going toward the payment of debts. They also wanted any remaining assets after debt was paid to be distributed among the creditors. There are many defendants in this case. |

Henry Chiles, Sr. died, his land willed to his brother Paul. The rest of the estate was to be divided between many heirs. Solomon Chiles began business dealings with others under the pretense that he spoke for all of the heirs. However, they were not in agreement. Suit concerns land Lewis & Chiles were trading, and their disagreements about title. |

George F. Reynolds, deceased, owned valuable estate in lands and Negros. Plaintiff is sued to recover his share in said estate. Plaintiff sold Daniel McCallum, deceased, his share of Negros of the estate for the land & $300. McCallum gave his bond for the land but never the $300. After McCallum passed, the defendant was made administrator and has suggested insolvency of the estate. |
