Additional plaintiffs: E.D. Murphey and Pleasant Murphey. Benjamin Murphey had purchased a tract of land from Benjamin Sewell in 1847. Houston had received judgment against B.F. Murphey and his securities for an unpaid note for the purchase money of the said land. Murphey willing to pay sum in exchange for title to land, which neither Sewell nor Houston had given to him. Murphey suing for an injunction restraining Houston from collecting on judgment until he received a warranty deed. |

Opinion only. Complex land and title dispute. Lyons took deed of conveyance from Anderson Acuff for a tract of 140 acres. Acuff had obtained judgment against Lyons for unpaid purchase money. Land was sold by sheriff to L.M. Ellis. Deed eventually came to Wyrick. Lyons and Ellis had made verbal agreement on the redemption of the land but Ellis sold to J.L. Mynatt. Plaintiffs charges a vendor's lien was created in favor of Lyons. |

Marshall sued to recover possession of tract of land once belonging to Hawn but now belonging to Marshall based on court judgment, execution, levy, and sale upon said deed to Marshall. Hawn refused to surrender possession. Marshall's could not issue action of ejectment due to the justice's judgment being lost. Court dismissed the plaintiff's bill. |

Plaintiff conveyed a tract of land to his son, Calaway Kelly, with the stipulation that the land could not be sold without the plaintiff's consent. Calaway sold the land to Roland Mettabarger, the now deceased husband of Polly Mettabarger, without giving notice to his father. Calaway then died. |
