Young brought initial suit against plaintiff, due to a dispute over a spring-wagon/buggy trade. Young paid $50 plus his wagon for the buggy, which did not satisfy his daughter. This suit revolves around the terms of rescinding the trade. |

This dispute revolves around the rent payment for a store on N. Water St. in Gallatin TN the plaintiff occupied as of Sept 1, 1877. Rent was $250 per yr., with clause if store destroyed, rent agreement would cease. The store burned down in 1880. Defendant claims there was no disaster clause & regardless, the original contract had expired & he is due rent for year 1880 of $320. Plaintiff had paid this as part of previous judgment, but appeals to have rent from date of fire returned. |

Plaintiff notified Def. they were ready to begin work, but Def. hired someone else -- McCord's son-in-law Ezell -- to do the work. McClure was not a partner at time debt incurred, so not responsible. JP further ruled against W.D. McClure, a judgment of $401 plus costs. |
