View Entry | 1889 | M. E. Lowry v. Daniel Lowry & J. W. Lowry | Stewart | Divorce |
M.E. Lowry charged that Daniel Lowry, her husband, started abusing, insulting, and ill-treating her that she left him 2 weeks prior. Her husband accused her of marrying him for his property and loving another man. She charged that his treatment of her had been so cruel and inhumane as it rendered it unsafe for her to cohabit with him. She claimed she had no means to support herself. Court ruled against her, saying she failed to show sufficient cause for divorce. 2 folders. |
