Pltf. sued for divorce and custody. With many examples of his ferocity, pltf. asserted dfnt. was a leader of the "White Caps". The pltf. gathered the group rode around at night, in masks, to terrorize people, shoot fire-arms, whip and beat the defenseless and to kill and murder whomever they might condemn to death. After one raid of her home, pltf. noted a colored servant was taken away by a mob, never to be seen or heard from again. Dfnt. had connections to Missouri and Texas. Dfnt.'s brother John in it. |
