Wallaces married in 1864 and had three children aged ten, seven, and five at the time of their divorce. Witnesses: William Hooper said Mary admitted to him that she had committed adultery, but said W.D. had also committed adultery. Court refused to grant a divorce & W.D. appealed. |

However, he admitted that he also was untrue "Just as often as nature would permit." Wife alleged that he was guilty of "cruel inhuman treatment and had become a habitual drunkard." He amended his bill to include Marion's adulterous night w/Dr. J. K. Blackburn in Nashville. Also mentioned is their son, Rockwell. |
