State on the relation of Mrs. Charles A. Waters. Additional Defendant: S. O. Houston, Knox County Judge. Mrs. Waters was elected Knox County Tax Assessor in 1932. The previous Assessor, S. E. Mayes, refused to vacate the office and hand over official documents. Mrs. Waters is seeking the transfer of said documents and an injunction restricting any payments to Mayes. Mrs. Water's husband, Charles A. Waters, was elected Knox County Tax Assessor in 1928 but died while in office. |
