Dubose is the son of Camilla Dubose. The suit was initially against the "estate of Camilla Dubose." However, Camilla died, leaving her son to face the law suit. Apparently, Levy paid the taxes on the land to allow Camilla to get caught up on her bills. Camilla and family had the choice to pay Levy back, plus interest, but they never did. Therefore, Levy claims the title of the land which is in his possession is legal and he is the rightful owner.

Debt unpaid.

Francis inherited use of property & slaves in DeSoto Co., MS from father Sampson Lane. Children of Sampson Lane: Fletcher, Francis A., Deveraux J. and A. R. Lane. A. R. Lane deceased.

Plaintiffs: Deathea Hansel, Arilda J. Bell. Plaintiffs were heirs at law of Abel K. Rushing who died intestate. However his debts and estate have long been settled. This case concerns two tracts of land in Houston County. Grant entry no. 670

Since the death of Elizabeth there has been a question as to how the estate's real property is to be divided. Casefile notes that Rupert was a slave owner before the Civil War.

H. H. Mahon was guardian to Nancy Milton, Thomas Milton, John Milton, Mary Milton, and Grant Milton, all of Crockett County (TN). The case revolved around the estate of William Milton, dec., of Madison County.
