Pltf. sued for $30,000 in damages after J. T. Mangrum was killed at a right-of-way near Camden Nov. 28, 1931. The nearly four years old decedent had climbed onto the tracks around an underpass where the rail crossed highway No. 1. Pltf. claimed the engine failed to sound the whistle or ring the bell and failed to stop the locomotive in enough time to avoid the accident. Ex mat.: Photos, OS illustration. Found bound with W. W. The Carseys are d/b/a J. M. Carsey Son & Co. and they were the brokers for A. Hawley's tobacco. Suit concerns whether the Carseys sold the tobacco at the rate agreed upon and paid the proper amount to the plaintiff.

Additional plaintiffs: Newt French, M. F. Davis This is an action begun in the county court by E. G. Flowers to have a road opened to him under section 1634, Thompson's Shannon's code. Flowers stated that his tract of land is surrounded by that of the defendants and he wishes to build a private road from his land to the public road. He had no other way to access his land except by going over the lands of the defendants. See WT 1941 for transcript.
