Reid agreed to take Bradford's household furniture as payment. The defendants were owed money by Bradford as well. In 1857, the county court recovered a judgment against White for $638.15 debt & $13.21 in damages. White disputed this judgment and said he owed Walker nothing and that he had paid every cent he ever owed him. White also claimed that he was unable to make a proper defense in the case against him. |

The original road was known as the Harrican and Scotts Mill Road. A. V. S. Lindsley was the son of Dr. Philip Lindsley, the one time president of the University of Nashville. He was a postmaster for Nashville and a State Senator. |

Schlossberg was from Washington, D. C. Other defendants: Arthur C. Brode and his wife Clara F. Brode. In June of 1919, complainant bought 3 lots on the east side of Hannauer Street- lot numbers 1095,1096,1097. The complainant had been paying the taxes on the lots when in (1925) he learned that the taxes had been paid by someone claiming to hold a deed to said property. This property was quitclaimed from Burton Weil to Lydia Bryan and Clara Brode. Lydia Bryan then quit claimed her interest to Schossberg. |

In order to do so without holding an election, Newport attempted to annex Clifton. Citizens of Clifton brought suit. Clifton was eventually renamed to Newport. |
