On Oct. 27 1887, King said to have attacked & wounded Reuben Sullivan with a knife. Sullivan rented land from King. Sullivan stated he was hauling corn for King who confronted him in the field & stabbed him multiple times incurring shoulder, arm, torso & abdomen wounds. Argument possibly over percentage of crop each was due. King sentenced to 18 mos. In TN Penitentiary |
