Grubb & Engledon were partners in tailoring business and McMahan a farmer. Both parties had an arrangement in which McMahan furnished Grubb & Engledon with produce in exchange for their tailoring clothes for him. It was also agreed that both Grubb's & Engledon's accounts were blended. Plaintiff unaware of change in relationship between def'ts who later dispute in three other cases about account balances (what they did or did not receive).
