Harvey purchased the various interests in a tract of land from several of the defendants and then sold the entirety of the land to the plaintiff. Before conveyance was made, a fire destroyed the title bonds to said land. Plaintiff prays that the title and interest in the land be divested from the heirs and placed with him. |

Judgments satisfied by selling pla.'s land (incl Chandler tract); Def Bryant purchased land & Def. Haynes & Nance (other jdgmt creditors of pla.) "redeemed" it. Witnesses incl pla.'s daughter Mrs. Martha Nash. Suit to reclaim land. |

The Chancery Court of Grainger Co. agrees that the land claimed by the plaintiff Smith is the same property that once belonged to Alfred Livingston who died in 1863 during the War, leaving a widow, Jane, and 2 minor children, Edward & Mary E. Livingston. Mary E. Livingston married a King. Edward Livingston, now an adult, conveyed his interest in the land to Smith. Title to the land was vested in Livingston's heirs by 1878 Supreme Court Case Livingston v. Noe. |

The plaintiff's father, William Rucker (dec.), left her several tracts of land, a portion of which she deeded over to William Malicout. A deed was made out to the defendant by Malicout, cutting the plaintiff out of her share of the land. The making of said deed without the plaintiff's knowledge was a fraudulent move and she alone held rights to the land and her husband's debt to Jamagin led to the trespass. |

Plaintiff alleged that Elizabeth bequeathed his wife one-half value of her land, however land was sold to defendant. Plaintiff filed this case to retrieve half of the value of the sale.
