George W L Marr presumably Sr. died leaving a plot of land and his heirs sued Sampson who alleged that he owned the land through a tax title. said Sampson lost the circuit court case partially because he did not poses the original copy of the deed. Sampson alleged that the land was passed out of the hands of George W L Marr in the fiscal year 1848. |

Grubbs attempted an action of ejectment against Browder but failed when sheriff did not give notice. Unclear if cause of suit was that Browder failed to pay the full amount of purchase money. |

The plaintiffs sold and conveyed to the defendant Sampson a tract of land for payment of $600, with faith they would receive the money through time. Sampson then conveyed the same land to W. Brock for a mule worth $70 and $600 in Confederate money. The plaintiffs filed the bill after no money was paid by Sampson and the Confederate money he was paid was illegal and worthless and the mule belonged to another person. The plaintiffs want the money promised them as Sampson had no payment from Brock. |
