They entered into an agreement for half ownership of the land with the defendants for half of the option purchase price. Defendant Slusher took deed in trust from the seller but then refused to accept the plaintiffs money and give them title to half the land. |

Plaintiff claims he is the rightful owner of a tract of land located in the 4th Civil District of Cannon County near Stone's River and has been for seven years. Plaintiff further claims that while in possession of said land he built a house and mill, cultivated the land, and harvested timber. Plaintiff complains the defendant is now claiming ownership of part of the property and is seeking an injunction restricting him from taking possession. Exhibit material includes map on page 30. |

Plaintiff further complains that said land was seized and sold at auction to McFall. Plaintiff is seeking for defendant's title to be declared void. |

Hinds complains that Kellogg and his tenant Cousens occupy his property and refuse to surrender it to him. Kellogg claims said property was never actually sold to Hinds. Lewis was a previous bidder on said property and assigned her bid to Hinds. |

The plaintiff sued the defendants to reclaim 42.5 acres of land he claimed to have a grant for from the state through Governor Robert L. Taylor. He charged the defendants with illegally possessing said land and striping it of its valuable timber. Claymon requested an injunction to halt the removal of resources from the land and requested a survey of the land and confirmation of its ownership. Includes hand-drawn map of disputed land. |

George Wilson gave 67 acres in Davidson County this daughter Matlida George Edmondson, wife of Jon K. The land was further divided, & 20 acres were given to Jon, which he gave to W. J. Parks, who mortgaged the land as security on another debt. Matilda & Jon died, & the Parks property was foreclosed upon. This suit sought to settle the ownership of the land following its division, & the death of its owners. |

The Blackleys filed suit to recover $2000 from the defendants for an advance they provided the defendants to discharge liens on a farm known as Marble Hall in Hawkins County. The Blackleys exchanged their real estate in Bristol for Marble Hall, estimated at a value of $7700. The defendants alleged that the title to some of the property failed and a building was not completed according to contract. The defendants also filed a cross bill (counter suit). |

In 1883, without the plaintiff's consent, George Petree and his wife signed over the deed and registered the land to Henry Berry who then sold it to Joseph Ellison. Ellison then conveyed partial ownership to Ben Berry Jr. |

Feasters paid $57 in cash & thought they signed a mortgage on their lot on Franz St. in Knoxville to Mynatt & Caldwell for the remaining $193. Feasters were illiterate & what they signed was a warranty deed for the full $250. Mynatt & Caldwell then proceeded to sell the lot to Irwin. |
