Thurston of Kentucky, Mary Churchill of Louisville and her daughter Mary Moss Churchill, Julia January and her husband Derick A. January of St. Louis, and Robert M. Patton of Alabama. Plaintiffs allege that the lots were never sold to the defendants and that they obtained possession of them illegally. |

George W L Marr presumably Sr. died leaving a plot of land and his heirs sued Sampson who alleged that he owned the land through a tax title. said Sampson lost the circuit court case partially because he did not poses the original copy of the deed. Sampson alleged that the land was passed out of the hands of George W L Marr in the fiscal year 1848. |

Judgments satisfied by selling pla.'s land (incl Chandler tract); Def Bryant purchased land & Def. Haynes & Nance (other jdgmt creditors of pla.) "redeemed" it. Witnesses incl pla.'s daughter Mrs. Martha Nash. Suit to reclaim land. |

Opinion only. Sharp had sold and gave his title bond to a tract of land that contained a schoolhouse. Sharp later had Hamner sign a release in order for the schoolhouse and lot to be given to the public. Hamner charged Sharp with defrauding him and claiming it as his private property and for offering to sell it. Hamner wanted Sharp to deliver up the release and that he be credited the value of the schoolhouse on his note for the purchase money. |

In 1860 D. W. Mentlo recovered a judgment against R. N. Miers for $3795.61, but an exception was issued in 1865 on this judgment, which was levied on land belonging to Miers. Mentlo directed the Sheriff to sell the land to recover the judgment. James Woodard also obtained a judgment against Miers for $1187.52 in 1860, which was levied on land as well. Multiple judgments were made and levied Miers land. Suit filed to settle land and title ownership, as well as debts. |

Newman had bought tract of land at a court sale in the case T.W. & J.W. Newman, admrs. Of Jacob Newman, dec. v. Caroline H. Newman et al. for the sum of $4508-$930 of which was made by promissory note. Newman rented land to Joseph King. House and lot were levied upon and sold to pay for taxes under executions from multiple suits, which Newman declared void. Newman suing the Kings for conspiring to deprive him of his land and wanted an account of the rents due him since 1861. |
