Years before this suit Jesse Robinson purchased land in Fentress County from Crouch for $350. All but $71 was paid at the time of purchase. In 1866 Crouch filed a bill against the Robinsons to collect the debt. Robinson was dead by this point and sued his wife and heirs to collect. |

The Robertson's as heirs at law of H. F. Robertson, dec. owned land in Lincoln County. Robertson died intestate in 1857. Hardy Smith was found to be owed money from the estate in the sum of $2384. Robertson had no more money, so Smith sued the heirs for the land to satisfy the debt. |

This case is for a the petition of a tract of land, 34 acres, in Johnson County owned by the complainant and defendant as tenants in common. The land was left to them by their father, Leonard Shoun. There was a small body of land adjacent to the 34 acres but instead of getting a grant they had the original tract of land surveyed in connection with 34 acres and obtained a grant to jointly tenant for entire tract of about 370 acres. |

Worthington died intestate, Brown offered to sell to the heirs as a group. Both Columbus & Samuel began timbering the property without permission of the other heirs. The other heirs sued to make the stop timbering & to approach their land ownership as a group in agreement. |

The complainants are claiming that Nancy was in no condition to negotiate or make a contract for the selling of her land and, they claim, Wiseman had no right to be her trustee. |

In 1859 Thompson sold E.K. & Mary Rambo land in Marshall County and issued a title. Although he conveyed the deed, he held a lien against the property until the payment for the property was complete. Payment was not completed and Thompson sued to recover the balance on the account. |

In 1865 William D. Hardman of Mississippi owned a large tract of land in Williamson County. He was in debt, and multiple suits were filed against him with the aim of recovering the debts through the sale of Hardman's land. Moss bought a portion of Hardman's land during a Sheriff's sale. However, due to previous sales the ownership of the land was in dispute. |

Frederick J. Bell died in 1869, leaving his wife Sarah Elizabeth Thaxton Bell and his children, all minors. Bell died with a large plot of land & his wife sued for a dower. However in 1865 Bell deeded the land to J. M. Bell, who registered the deed at the court house, this was meant to be conveyed as a mortgage of trust rather than land sale. Bell was insolvent at the time of his death, having recently filed bankruptcy. |
