Hudson & his wife had been separated and Cook became involved with a quarrel between the two which made Hudson angry. In the statement of the case written by Pierce & Fry, the attorneys for the defendant, they ask the court to reverse the case because it was "purely a frame-up on the part of the negroes testifying for the State." |
