View Entry | 1933 | Ethel Stiner v. Powell Valley Hardware Company, W. F. Burnett soul proprietor | Campbell | Bank Note |
Ethel Stiner inherited land from her father, which she then sold. She lent $1000 from the sale to W. F. Burnett, owner of the hardware company where her husband, Henderson, worked. Burnett then sold half of his shares of the company telling Stiner he would repay the note in total. Instead, he tried to give her $100. Much confusion with who loaned, Ethel or her husband, & who is responsible, who is owed, and what my have been paid. |
