Plaintiff Haskins sued the defendant as his security for a $800 note executed to Joseph McCulley for money loaned to Hammond. Haskins and Varnell charged that Hammond, after accumulating many liabilities and creditors, conveyed his lands to his wife Mary to avoid his real estate being subject to liability for his debt. Plaintiff requested the court declare the conveyance fraudulent and subject the defendants property to sale for repayment of debts. |

This action was instituted to collect on the note. |

Plaintiff later bought entire undivided interest from defendants for $800. The defendants failed to hand over the deed and therefore had to pay the plaintiff back the $800. The suit is for failure to pay the notes back. |

Rodgers had sold and gave the deeds to 2 tracts of land to Lackey for a total of $13,000. Rodgers sued Lackey for $6500 in notes which were to be paid in current funds. However, Lackey forced Rodgers to accept the $6500 in worthless and illegal Confederate money. Rodgers demands the land to be sold and proceeds meet balance of $6500 owed to him. |
