Case involves a steam boat called the "Water Witch" owned Irwin and Henry Wheless of Montgomery Co. and R. P. Glenn of LA. Irwin sold 3/5 of his interest to Witherspoon who became insolvent and left Montgomery for LA without paying Irwin in full. Witherspoon sold his interest to Robinson Yeatman of LA. Witherspoon claims Irwin didn't have legal interest in the boat to sell & that G. B. Dycus & Weslely Wheless also owned shares in it. Dycus was the captain or master of the boat. |
