Plaintiff is a widow of Hunter Kittrell, the son of Seth Kittrell. After her husband died, plaintiff alleges that she made a contract with Seth Kittrell to remain and work in his home with her children and in return, Seth Kittrell would compensate her. Upon the death of Seth Kittrell, plaintiff found that he had left her only $1,000 thus violating their agreement.

The plaintiffs sued to recover the trust money given to Looney after he was awarded guardianship of the minor defendants following their father's death.

Plaintiff, daughter of def.. & his wife, Palestine Popejoy. By agreement plaintiff & her mother were named the beneficiaries of a $1700 life insurance policy purchased by N. Popejoy in 1924; they also paid the premiums. Mrs. Popejoy died May 1929. Plaintiff continued to pay premiums after mother's death, but has since learned that ca. 24 Nov. 1934 the deft. made an Ann Johnson the beneficiary instead of herself. Plaintiff now suing to recover the money spent on the insurance premiums.

Other plaintiffs: Alabama Great Southern Railroad Company. Defendant built bridge on East Third St. over plaintiffs railroad tracks. Adjacent property owners sued for damages because of change in road grade caused by construction of bridge. Plaintiffs advanced/loaned defendant $5000 to settle damages & defendant refunded them the remainder not paid out. Plaintiffs claimed they weren't responsible for paying any of damages & should have been refunded the full $5000. See ET 1460.

Plaintiff a corporation based in Lynchburg, VA., sued to recover $624.38 from deft. In Jan. 1928 deft. leased space to operate a beauty parlor in a building pla.. had under construction at that time. Space leased for 3 years at rent of $700 a year. On 21 Dec. 1928 deft. voluntarily broke the terms of the lease by discontinuing the operation of the beauty shop.

William Kay president of defendant corp. conducted all negotiations. Complainants, bases on contract, were due all rents from August forward if the option to buy the
