Plaintiff guardian to Emeline, Maria, Virginia, Felix, James, Mary & Robert Wilson, all minors. Plaintiff was appointed guardian in 1880 (Guardian Book G), had collected no money belonging to said minors up to suit.Plaintiff petitioned to resign from from guardianship, as Emeline had married & Maria had come of age. Add. defendants: the remaining minor children. Atty. Frank Slemons appointed to represent defendants, who deny plaintiff had not collected land/money. Add. Documents located in MT 922.

Andersons (mom & son) sued Richmond, whose land adjoined theirs, for breach of contract & allowing his stock to trespass on their field, thereby damaging the corn. Andersons said they had contract with Richmond that each would take care of their own stock since no fence between their respective farms. Justice of the Peace ruled for Plaintiffs, Circuit Court reversed & ruled for Defendants, & Plaintiffs appealed to SC. Witnesses: James Murray, U.R. Upchurch, W.G. Sowell, Wm Lawson, Henry Carter, others.

Additional defendants: Barnibas Rice, Benjamin Cluck, and George W. Welling. Plaintiff claims he was unlawfully arrested and imprisoned for 8 months by the defendants who were soldiers in the Confederate Army. Plaintiff also claims he was forced to join the Confederate Army. The documents contain the testimony of Samuel A. Bell who commanded the squad that arrested Kimbrough. Bell notes he was operating under the orders of Col. E. D. Blake.

Plaintiff entered into a verbal agreement with the defendant to rent a room in the defendant's building located on Gay Street in Knoxville, Tennessee. Plaintiff complained that the defendant later refused to rent said room, causing the plaintiff to be out of work (barber) for two months. Plaintiff then brought suit for breach of contract.

Seeking Damages.

Kennedy sued Allen & Phillips for breach of contract, seeking damages for a roof installed on a brick block house in Dayton, Tn. Kennedy purportedly contracted Allen & Phillips to install a steel roof warranted for three years. The roof leaked, because the roof slope was insufficient. Kennedy was allegedly told these facts & asked for the roof to be installed anyway.

Alexander Haun Jr. sues by next friend Alexander Haun, Sr. for trespass, assault and battery, and false imprisonment against Pleasant A. Witt. sued for damage in the sum of $3,000.

Plaintiff sued to collect $2,295.81 from defendant, who had entered into bond with Southeastern Paving & Construction Co. to pay all claims for material furnished Southeastern Paving for the construction of a highway in Carter Co. known as State Aid Project No. 6448-A, Carter Co. Southeastern Paving refused to pay plaintiff & has since entered bankruptcy. Defendant denies any liability on grounds that Atlantic did not file its suit within required 60 days.
