Additional Plaintiffs: Gusdorff Brothers and James A. Johnson Co. Additional Defendants: Charles A. Toby. Plaintiffs Armstrong Cater & Co. were in the wholesale millinary business in Baltimore, Maryland and the Gusdorff Bros. were wholesale merchants. They claimed the defendants were indebted to them for $619.13 on account for merchandise the plaintiffs sold and delivered to the defendants.

John Epps and James Byerly claim that Abraham Starr owes them a debt on an account that is under $200.

Add. defendants: Samuel A. White, F.W. Vanuxern, Elizabeth Vanuxern, William Kennedy, James Kennedy, & William Swan. J. Nicholas is justly indebted to the plaintiffs in the sum of $543.33, which is evidenced by a note of hand. The sum is the purchase money for a tract of land after an initial $110 was paid by the defendant. Other defendants were employers or creditors for the purchase, and the bill includes an injunction to prevent W. Swan from taking possession of goods after paying the balance.

The parties dealt with goods and accounts together for several years. The defendant later refused to pay for certain goods and became indebted to the plaintiff.

Calloway was indebted to Flournoy for $25, but died before case could be heard. Suit amended to make Dowling, as administrator of Calloway's estate, the defendant in case. See also J. M. Calloway, et al. v. Hugh Dowling, admr. of James M. Calloway, dec., et al., also in ET 1656.

Plaintiff: Decatur Cornice & Roofing Co., a corp. in AL. Defendants: W. C. Terry, W. C. Terry Realty & Trust Co.- a Knox Co. business; Commercial Casualty Ins. Co., a NJ corp. Debt on acct., $1773.10, order of steel fabricated stairs made in Jan. 1929 for renovation @ Terry Apts. (Knoxville?).

Other defendants: Wilson L. Trundle; William W. Lackey. For debt of $950

George C. Jackson sued J. M. Meek, a stockholder in Chronicle Company and the company Jackson worked for. Jackson claimed the company owned him money on several notes for wages and money loaned to the company.

Baxter originally sued Mabry for $1000 due by note. Mabry denies owing the money.

Law Cause No. 9 Complaint of Fidelity Trustee and Receiver Co. for use of Winnebago National Bank in a plea of debt due by account and accepted bill and note under $500.00. Payee promised to sell and deliver to defendant 74 volumes of books. Defendant states he never received books. Appeal case included.

Add. defendants: Reuben E. Fox, administrator of the estate of Joseph W. Fox (dec.). The plaintiff is sued to recover a debt on account in a sum under $100.

Additional Plaintiff: Sarah Keeney. Additional defendants: William S. Keeney. Debt was for a loan of cash and charged an excessive amount of interest.

pla. & brother Def Haywood were in partnership to sell goods in Morgan County & as such, bought stock of goods from Samuel Martin, executing notes to pay for same. pla. pd part of debt, but Haywood didn't pay anything; debt outstanding when partnership dissolved. Haywood recently conveyed lg 600-acre tract on main road west of Knoxville to his son Def James H. (who has always lived w/his dad & who has since conveyed it to Def Browder) & did so to avoid debt. pla. asking land be attached to satisfy debt

Defendants: McCorkle & Brown, a firm composed of Calvin McCorkle of Nashville, George Brown of Knoxville. Plaintiff was a corporation located in Ohio, manufacturers and dealing in reaping & mowing machines, "and other implements of husbandry." Debt owed ($6,504.80?). See also ET 736.

Other defendants: William Campbell Humes; William G. Swann; John H. Crozier; William H. Sneed; Thomas W. Humes. Over debts arising from the purchase of the "Knoxville Register" newspaper in 1849.

McMullen died intestate sometime before September 1865. Before he died, he recovered judgment against def. Rail Road Co. for track it laid across McMullen's land, which judgment has not yet been fully pd. Suit revived in admr's name, judgment rendered & execution issued on Rail Road property but returned unsatisfied. Bryson filed this action to satisfy judgment from Rail Road stockholders who have not yet paid for their subscription (therefore owe Rail Road money). Rail Road pd judgment so bill dismissed

Several cases were consolidated & reviewed by the court. Cases all centered around "the amount & value of the property attached in these causes & whether the same has been sold & if so what amount & in whose hands the funds arising from the sale now is" Other parties involved in consolidated cases include: V. Burger and son and F. Seibel. It appears that the property in question in the cases are goods and merchandise sold and the amount due on account is in question.

Debt of $890.12 for goods, wares & merchandise sold.

Additional defendants: Gus Engers, S. H. Johnston, D. M. Taylor and William Sellars of the National Tube Works; $3000 had been levied in the previous months upon the stock and goods of Kurth in his store at No. 158 Gay St, but only $400 has been paid Ex A: list of other cases involving Charles Kurth.

Debt due on account under $500.

Plea of debt due by promissory note dated Jan. 21, 1931 for $125.00. The note provides for 6% interest amounting to $2.78 and 10% attorney fees amounting to $12.50, making a total of $140.56. The note had a credit of $46.22, leaving a balance of $94.34.
