Additional Defendants: Thomas Edwards and wife Martha Edwards, and John Batey. A. M. Edwards was appointed guardian of Willie Edwards, child of O. H. Edwards, dec., in 1881. Prior to that time, Thomas Batey was his guardian (1868-1881) and collected rents on his behalf. Upon a court ordered settlement of the trust, Batey owed the minor Edwards $about $2000, but was insolvent. His new guardian sued Batey and his securities to recover the debt.
