Add. defendant: Alexander Campbell. The plaintiff is the surviving partner in a business where he contracted with a Trustee of the Methodist Church, namely the defendants to whom they furnished $150 worth of materials. The defendants took $75 each out of the funds for materials, for which the plaintiff took them to court to be prosecuted for acting in bad faith. The church house blew down in 1865 while housing a great deal of valuable material and the defendants unlawfully took possession of it. |
