Palmer bought an island on the south fork of the Holston River, in order to build a mill. This land cut into Stoffle's land, whom the tract was purchased from. Palmer was meant to pay for any trees he cut down, but not for the ones left standing. The two were in disagreement about the use and boundaries of property once building commenced. |

Roller, plaintiff, and Harper, defendant, had agreed to swap horses. Harper's bay gilding was lame with one leg swollen and stiff whereas Roller's bay gilding was a fine draft horse. Harper needed a better horse for trip to Virginia but Roller refused to swap for the lame horse. Roller agreed to exchange on condition if horse got better while Harper made trip. Horse died possibly from snake bite. Harper refused to return Roller's horse. Roller charges Harper is cheating him out of his horse. |

Thomas Miller, exe. of Joshua Miller procured the sale of a tract of land of the estate of his testor, under decree of Chancery Court at the sale Young was the purchaser at $1000. |

R. D. Wood was married fathered Bonnie Lee McKinney, one of the complainants. In 1915, Wood's parents W. W. Wood and Mary Jane Wood gifted a lot in Bristol to R. D. "and his children forever." R. D. later had another child, R. D., Jr., with wife Millie G. Wood. R. D. later sued Millie and the two children, contending that "and their children" in the deed conveyed nothing and clouded his title. Later Donald J. Wood, another complainant, was born.
