Constable Mount executed a judgement against the plaintiff for $16.40 issued by the magistrate. He levied the amount on a sow, three shoats, and three pigs, which Mount seized from Byrons. Byrons sued to regain possession of his livestock.

View Entry 1890 Ellen C. Cobb v. F. M. Witt McMinn Replevin

Cobb sued and claimed she was the rightful owner of a one eyed small mule, a cow known as the Polk Witt cow, one small horse wagon known as Sam Collins wagon, one set of harness complete collar and bridle. Cobb claimed they had been seized wrongfully by the defendant. Defendant was also known as Marion Witt.

Action of replevin involving sale of horse, wagon and harness by Mrs Annie V. Schermaster to G.T. Younglove (col.) for $150 in May, 1888. No bill of sale. No clear payment on this sale, Schermaster moved to Nashville. Asks for remainder from purchaser, who contested this action. Burden of proof upon Schermaster. Appeal to TN Supreme Court at Jackson.
