A. J. Leopold leased more than 50 pieces of home furnishings from Armstrong. At the end of the lease, Leopold had the option of buying the items. This was providing all payments were made on time; they weren't, so furnishings were repossessed by Security Bank of Memphis. Sheriff took possession of the goods. Testimony: J. C. Armstrong & Miss A. M. Littig (also identified as A. M. Little). Since the furnishings are listed, this case provides valuable information about the material culture of the period. |
