Simpson gave execution against A.D. Taylor to Bacon for collecting a note, which Bacon failed to do.

Cowan & Dickenson, merchants in Knoxville, recovered $115 judgment against John C. Schooler & Julian H. Scott & Ferdinand Heydeman, which then came into Melton's hands as then-sheriff, who levied on 1 or more of Scott's horses to satisfy judgment. Scott posted delivery bond & either never delivered or no bidders at sale (Melton cannot recall), but Melton later sued by Cowan & Dickinson for insufficient return & judgment rendered against him, which Melton is asking be quashed.
