Plaintiff and defendant were neighboring business owners in the City of Clarksville, Tennessee. Plaintiff was the owner of a mercantile jewelry, silverware, watch, and clock business, and the plaintiff was the owner of a mercantile hardware, agriculture, stove, and tin ware business. Plaintiff brought suit complaining that the defendant loaded and unloaded merchandise in front on plaintiff's building, thus obstructing traffic and causing him to lose customers.
