Jury found Anderson guilty and sentence him to 5 years of hard labor in the pentitentiary. The defendant appealed. Anderson later did not show up in court and was fined $1000. |

Dec. 4th 1861, defendants were said to have committed robbery in taking a gun. Witness Conrad Eisenhower stated that the defendants, in a rough crowd, came to his home at night and woke him. The defendants, armed, entered plaintiffs home & warmed by fire. Then one J. Parks said they were out taking Union men's guns & they had come for his. Plaintiff gave up his gun, worth $50, fearing bodily harm. After the war, Parks paid plaintiff for gun, avoiding prosecution. Circuit Ct. sentenced defendants to 5 yrs. |
