McTigue asked Swissman David Wilds to visit a saloon on College St in Nashville late one night. They went later to a small house where men were playing cards. They were joined by Mr. Erwin. During their time they realized that McTigue had robbed them of various objects including pocket knives and money.

Plaintiff in error is accused of forcibly taking the chain and watch of Geo. Nolen. Nolen claims that Moss impersonated an officer and took him into an alley where he indicated that he had a weapon and demanded Nolen's watch and chain. Nolen noted that he is from the country and was unfamiliar with Nashville, where the robbery took place.

With force of arms, the defendant unlawfully and feloniously robbed one B.M.
