View Entry | 1888 | William H. Horton v. C. D. Herd et al. | Hancock | Estate Sale |
Hiram, Bertie, and Darwin (?) Horton, the minor children of R .J. Horton, dec., sued the defendant C. D. Herd and Cornelia Horton by their next friend William Horton. Herd was the former partner of their father in the mercantile business and the brother in law of R. J. Horton's widow, Cornelia. Herd convinced the widow to settle the partnership in his favor of $603 but the minor children contested this and claim and requested an injunction to prevent Herd from removing any assets of the firm. |
