Other defendants: Albert Day; Wareham Griswold; Albert P. Day; Charles G. Day; Daniel P. Seymour; Henry A. Whitman; 15 other named defendants. Walker was away in the Confederate service when the confiscatory action occurred and did not have access to the publication of notice of sale published in Knoxville. He did not return until after the war to find that Day had taken possession of his land. Walker died before case was resolved. Case continued by heirs. More of case in ET 8a & ET 1057. |
