Defendant is the administrator of the estate of his father W. F. Karnes (dec.), who is also the father of D. P. Butler. In 1909, the plaintiff purchased from W. F. Karnes a tract of land for $600, paying $100 in cash and the balance in five deferred pay- ments. Prior to his death, the plaintiffs paid $500 and also bought the homestead from the other heirs. The defendant as administrator told the plaintiffs they owed more money for the land and therefore owed the heirs more than they were paid.
