Ella Bailey, wife os S. H. Bailey Jr.(dec.), and her children filed suit against the executors, heirs, and devisees of Enoch Brown, deceased. Bailey Jr. inherited an estate in trust from his mother Maria L. (Clark) Bailey. The plaintiffs contested the validity of note that Schuyler H. Bailey (dec. husband of Maria L.) transferred to Enoch Brown, which they claimed was misappropriated and against the trust deed of the estate. Plaintiffs requested the return of land conveyed by the note and debt on note. |

Stump and Cox were merchants in Nashville. They bought a property and house on Market Street in the city of Nashville, located between their own store house & the house of Peter Bassard. The purchase cost $12,000. Money was borrowed from various parties to cover the debt, but it was still not paid on item. Irwin sued to recover the debt or the property. |
