The plaintiffs claimed the defendants collected money for the plaintiffs and then lost the money through their negligence in a bank that failed. No complete docket number. |

Plaintiff Watkins claimed that W. H. Stone failed to pay the entirety of a judgement rendered against Stone in favor of the plaintiff for about $30. Watkins claimed the defendant, through fraud, got the plaintiff to sign the receipt for the entire amount of the judgement and processed it with the Justice of the Peace. However, Watkins asserted that the defendant only gave him $5 and told him he had to sign the receipt before he would receive the rest of the money the following week, which he never did. |

The plaintiff previously obtained a judgment in the case of Henry Chaffield v. J.Y. Cooper for the sum of $2,500 and costs. The sum as paid to N. Baxter as the Clerk of Court. When asked for the money, N. Baxter paid only $500, but refused to execute a note from the remaining sum. The plaintiff filed the bill to compel the defendant to deliver the remaining sum from the judgment. |

Plaintiff Geers and defendant Heck were the owners, as tenants in common, of several tracts of coal land in Campbell and Anderson counties. Geers owned 1/3 interest and Heck the other 2/3 interest. Geer claimed that Heck owed him several thousand dollars for rents, royalties, and profits made from the land for which Heck has never given Geer his 1/3 share as partial owner. There are 3 hand-drawn exhibit maps that show the tracts of land owned by the plaintiff and defendant. |
