Polly Smith is the wife of R.D. Smith. Plaintiffs accuse Simpson of impregnating their daughter referred to as Mirand Boyde, Miranda Flinn and Miranda Smith. Miranda also acts as a servant to her mother. The plaintiffs claim that while Miranda was pregnant she could not perform her duties as servant. Plaintiffs further claim that she became gloomy, thus depriving them of their daughters services as well as her good character.

Suit was result of failure of defendants to honor the agreement; the bank sought total of $1500 for money owed, interest and damages.
