The defendant in error bought one hundred barrels of super-fine flour from the plaintiff in error for $555. The plaintiff in error is accused of accepting payment but failing to ship the flour. Plaintiff in error claims that payment was made in Confederate money which had no value and that the defendant in error fraudulently represented himself as an agent of the Confederate Government. |

Fowler and Farmsworth had been in court two previous times, one for fraud and another for assault. See ET 1140 and 1152. For this case, Fowler is sued Farmsworth for trespass and damages: for breaking apart, pulling down, and destroying various panels of fence, gates, and drawbars; conveying, damaging, or carrying away $200 worth of wheat; and cutting up, destroying, and spoiling herbage for his livestock. Fowler sues for $1000 in damages. |

The plaintiff requested an injunction to prevent the defendants from further trespassing, damaging, and removing timber from lands he claimed were his through legitimate title. Myers sued Dodd for trading him a bay filly and representing the said property to be sound when in fact the said filly had ring bone on both hind feet, which was well known to Dodd. Court ruled in Myers' favor for $65 damages and cost of suit. |

Plaintiff stated that in 1833 defendants were in possession of two negroes, both slaves for life: Bob & Lewis, both valued at $600. Defendant claimed to have 'found them'; plaintiff stated that defendant knew they were his (Gladdin's) property. Plaintiff sought return of his slaves and $1500 damages. |

Plaintiff is the administrator of the estate of M. D. Quinn (dec.). John Shields also listed as a defendant in the summons. Plea of trespass to the plaintiff's damage of $50,000 for when the defendants, listed as Rebels and traitors to the state, unlaw- fully and with force of arms entered the home of the deceased, then alive, and assaulted him. They forced him to leave his property and kept him for a full month. |

A Union & a Rebel company were camping near Girdner's house. Walker was Capt. of the Union company. Walker, along with a Capt. Rumbaugh entered Girdner's house, verbally abusing him. Girdner left his house with Joseph Holt of the Southern Greys, whose aim was to capture Union soldiers, forcing them to pledge allegiance to the South. Dave Fry is mentioned as having burned local bridges, also Reuben Davis, & General Caswell. The suit seeks to recover $10k in damages. |
