View Entry 1875 Wade Baker v. J. W. Hardy et al. Wilson Deed of Trust

Additional defendants: Asa G. Rogers, Thomas B. Stroud, Benjamin J. Tarver, Zara Haralson, N.C. McCulloch, D.W. Grandstaff, and Samuel Watson. Josephus Walker executed a deed of trust to Hardy to secure and pay certain debts. Hardy gave bond for $20,000. Plaintiffs alleged that many judgments were rendered before the make of trust deed. Baker sought injunction against Grandstaff from selling plaintiff's land, against Watson from collecting judgment for Bank of TN, etc. 2 folders.

In 1843, John Shields signed a deed of trust with the firm of J.&C. Miller for a house and plot of land. Shields defaulted on payment, and has since died. The Millers have since died and suit is continuing through the heirs of all estates. Additional plaintiffs and defendants not named.
