Fizer offered Jackson partnership in a livery company. At the time of the stock trade, Jackson, who had a tidy inheritance, was allegedly so drunk as to be incapacitated. Some stated that he was mentally unbalanced at the time of the deal. It was suspected that in making the trade, Fizer took advantage of Jackson's state and cheated him. James Head, trustee for Mechanics Savings Bank and Trust Company, the City Savings Bank, and the Commercial National Bank, claimed that defendant William Moore executed a trust deed to the complainants upon real estate in Nashville for the purpose of taking loans out from the banks. Head requested that because Moore owed money on loans and failed to pay taxes and insurance on the property, the property should be sold to pay back debts to the complainants, liens, taxes, and insurance. |

Crabb agreed to sell land for no less than $1200, giving Anderson half of the profits. Crabb then sold the land to Hezikiah Faris for $1280 and gave Anderson nothing. Anderson sued to recover the proceeds of the sale. |

Ruohs purchased 22 bonds of $1k each issued by the town of Athens, in order to by shares of $22k in stock in the Nashville & Tellico Railroad Company, meant to mature in 20 years. Ruohs accuses bank officers John A. Hart, William H. Hart, and W. E.Baskett of selling bonds which they knew to be faulty, insolvent, and possibly invalid. See additional case of Joseph Ruohs v. In 1910 James Snodgrass purchased 1300 shares of stock in the Chronicle Publishing Co. from Charles E. Keyes, for a total of $1300, $400 paid at the time of suit. Fannie, Charles' wife signed the contract as security. The contract was ified, Snodgrass returning his stock, but Keyes never returned notes or payment. The suit sought to end the contract & resolve the situation simply & legally. |

Glass charged that said deed was security for debt due Warnacut and nothing more-that he has the right to redeem said lot. Though Glass offered Ragadale $675 but she refused. Glass suing Ragsdale to redeem his property. |

William Barnett had executed a deed of trust to W.W. Mullindore as trustee to secure certain debts. Gieslers charge that Barnett gave sufficient claims to pay off entire debt, including a tract of land, a carding machine, and livestock-including 3 horses 2 of the 3 horses were then in the hands of Giesler who did not know of the deed of trust. McLin had brought suit for replevin. Gieslers charge the deed is fraudulent-that trustees knew Barnett was selling property and did not dissent. |
