Richardson wanted to procure a residence in said county and consummated a trade between the parties by which Robinson would get the Melton residence and then Richardson could rent it. It was then agreed that Robinson would swap Melton a business property for Melton's residence property and Robinson would pay Melton $250 for the difference. Before signing the deed, Robinson tried to get all three of Melton's properties, when only one was agreed upon. Melton refuses to pay back the $250. |

Lea claims Ambrose rented out her slaves from 1856 until they were freed in 1865 without giving her the money. Furthermore, Ambrose sold Lea's land without compensating her fairly. Within the court record is a list of eleven slaves--age, name, and what area of work they were suited for. |
