Plaintiff is a widow of Hunter Kittrell, the son of Seth Kittrell. After her husband died, plaintiff alleges that she made a contract with Seth Kittrell to remain and work in his home with her children and in return, Seth Kittrell would compensate her. Upon the death of Seth Kittrell, plaintiff found that he had left her only $1,000 thus violating their agreement.

Plaintiff was a public school teacher in the county. Defendant was the Trustee and Revenue Collector of Cocke County, Plaintiff alleged that she was not paid for a portion of her services.

Additional Plaintiff: W. C. Swoope. Additional Defendants: R. C. McCalla, John Donnelly, and S. R. Sandford. Plaintiffs were partners in Terrell & Swoope, a saw-mill and lumber business. Defendants were partners in J. B. Neely & Co., contractors.

Raine. Plaintiffs are asking for the refund of money paid erroneously to the tax collector by McDowell, former Clerk and Master.

Plaintiff's company is comprised of F. Anderson & Frank Green, merchants of trade. Add. defendants: Horace Grimes, & L.A. Dean. Plaintiffs previously received a judgment against the defendants for $158 with interest plus cost of the suit. The defendants failed to pay the sum and it remains the property of the plaintiffs.

Additional plaintiffs: Sallie Gross and by next friend Margaret Gross - Andrew and Sallie are minors. Additional defendants: William Gillenwaters, Bernhard Vogel, James T. Shields, and F.M Fulkerson - trustees of Simpson Brothers Duff & Co., and Rufus G. Looney, non-resident. The name Gross is also written as Grose, Grop, and Groß throughout the document. The plaintiffs sued to recover the trust money given to Looney after he was awarded guardianship of the minor defendants following their father's death.

Plaintiff, daughter of def.. & his wife, Palestine Popejoy. By agreement plaintiff & her mother were named the beneficiaries of a $1700 life insurance policy purchased by N. Popejoy in 1924; they also paid the premiums. Mrs. Popejoy died May 1929. Plaintiff continued to pay premiums after mother's death, but has since learned that ca. 24 Nov. 1934 the deft. made an Ann Johnson the beneficiary instead of herself. Plaintiff now suing to recover the money spent on the insurance premiums.

Additional Defendant: J. G. Duke. James Lee owns Lee Gin & Machine Co. Plaintiff charges that he purchased a boring mill from them for $2850 & later claimed that it had a crack in the bottom or bed. Has since refused to make payments, claiming the mill is no longer worth the initial price. Also "made reclamation on your orator for an abatement of the amount of the purchase price."

Additional defendants: William Sevier (?) of Lake County, TN, E. S. & John S. Walton, administrators of estate of their father, Nathan Walton.

Plaintiff seeks to recover gambling losses. Exhibits include gambling tickets. Add. Defendants: Walter E. Kennedy, Jr.

Connable Veneer and Lumber Company consists of Luke Connable, John L. Connable, Joseph M. Connable, Ralph M. Connable, Joseph H. Booes, and Frank Hershey. Sues for $5-7,000 remaining on his contract as wages. Two folders.

The folder contains only a petition for writ of error and a petition to file supplemental assignments of error, no other case files. The original case was filed to recover contracted commissions for the sale of a tract of land.

Additional plaintiffs: Samuel J. Lesueur. Additional defendants: Baxter Court, The Nashville Trust Co., Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. Plaintiff sued to recover $3,800 for debt on work done to Baxter Court, and place a mechanic's lien on the sale of said building until debts are paid. Plaintiff hired to plaster walls and deaden floors in Baxter Court. Baxter founded the Tennessee Central Railroad, was the publisher of The Legal Reporter and served on the Tennessee State Senate.

Case involves debt due for services rendered as Superintendent of Nashville Female Academy; plaintiff defended the school when Nashville was occupied by the military and was taken prisoner in the North in 1862, upon his return in 1865 he sought to re-establish the Academy. Additional defendants: John M. Bass, A. L. P. Green, W. D. F. Sawrie, William R. Elliston, John Thompson, R. B. C. Howell, W. Berry, T. A. Atchison, Micael Vaughn, and Byrd Douglas. 3 folders

City of Knoxville sued to recover $26,931,63, plus interest, from Knoxville Power & Light Co. Plntff. states that $26,931.63 is the cost of "paving between the rails of the car tracks of defendant and a space of eighteen inches on the outer rails of said tracks". City is attempting to have a lien placed on the property of the Railway & Light Co. 7 Folders. Folders 1-5 in ET Box 1406.

Cofer employed as agent of plntff. to "solicit, countersign, deliver, and collect" the premiums upon the plntff.'s insurance policies. Plntff. sued to recover $2122.29 in premiums which it alleges deft. did not turn over to it as required by his contract. The other defts. served as Cofer's surety on the bond that he had to furnish for payment to the plntff. & maintain that they were unaware of his indebtedness.

The plaintiff sued by his next friend, S.C. Ward. The case involved the purchase of a Chevrolet automobile.
