View Entry 1944 Southern Railway Company v. Flora Kuykendall Hamblen Wrongful Death

Defendant's husband was killed when he was struck by a train in Morristown. Arthur Field was the engineer & claimed that the train's bell & whistle sounded at an appropriate distance. The intestate husband, C. S. Kuykendall, slipped on a hill and slid toward the track. Witnesses disagreed on whether the bell was rung and the whistle blown in time to warn Kuykendall of the oncoming train.
