This is a large and complicated dispute regarding a tract of land originally deeded by Major A. S. Reaves to H. C. Ellis to secure certain debts. The title to the land rested on the will of his deceased wife, formerly Miss Hart. When the trust was due, Ellis attempted to sell the land but the minor children of Mrs. Reaves enjoined the sale and contested A. S. Reaves' (their father) claim to the title of the land. There were several other tracts with partial ownership that relate to the contested will. |
