Turner complained that Rains took possession of land to which Turner was the rightful owner and used it, appropriating the rents and profits. Turner claimed that by the See also ET Box 2052. defendant setting up some sort of pretend title to the land, this put a cloud upon the title complainant held under a connected title from a grant from the state of Tennessee. |

Hutson had owned the land jointly with Levi Smith, now dec, & had made fraudulent deed to his 2 sons William & John. Williams, without Sharp's knowledge, had Hutson & his 2 sons execute deed to Williams alone, extinguishing both Hutson's right of redemption & the 2 sons' rights via the fraudulent conveyance, resulting in this suit. |

Gallagher and McGuire bought a tract of land together, built a storehouse, and started a business that dealt in dry goods. McGuire then conveyed the lot and storehouse to J. W. McCarty. Gallagher sued to have McCarty's deed declared a cloud on his rightful title. McCarty's title voided, and rent and debts due for use of the land paid. |

McCarter executed title bond to Jeremiah Brashears for 75 acres of land on strait fork of Buffalo Creek. Jeremiah assigned his interest to William, & McCarter sold the bond to Shoopman, who got a judgment on it against Jeremiah & William. Dispute over the land & debt owed on the purchase price. Case filed in Campbell County but determined in Knox County. |

Sharp filed suit to claim the title for a tract of 5,000 acres of land that his father David Sharp bought from the deceased. The land was currently in the will and being made available to creditors as part of the estate. However, Sharp claimed that it was owned by his father (deceased) and therefore him. |
