In 1865 Abbey was awarded a judgement against Paul for $950. The Sherriff found a lot Paul's land that he sold to pay the judgment the following September. Abbey was the highest bidder at the auction, & the debt was struck off. However, Paul never exe- cited a deed to Abbey. They also found that it had been previously levied and sold on a debt to John Goss. Abbey sued to recover the deed or the debt. |

In 1860, the defendants executed a deed which conveyed property set out to William Leonard Hiter in trustee for the use and benefit of themselves for life and then onto their children Charles & Gertrude. W. L. Hiter died in 1865 and then plaintiff was appointed as trustee. Juliet Hiter was also mentioned. Juliet, Charles Sr. & Gertrude Sr. were all dec. leaving their children as beneficiaries both of whom were under 21. Provision in deed allows trustee to sell land to pay off debts. |

In 1876 defts. executed a deed of trust to about 140 acres to Trustee to secure notes due in 3 years from the date of the deed. In accordance with the terms of the deed, the property was sold when the defts. failed to make their payments & was purchased by Stewart. Plntff. charged defts. would not allow him to take possession of the land & were harvesting the crops growing on it. He asked the court to issue a writ of possession & to appoint a receiver to take charge of the crop. |

Dickey filed bill to have a rescission of a deed and divestiture of the title of a tract of land containing 265 acres in the 9th and 9th districts of Knox County. The main consideration of the deed is that Norman would support Dickey of the rest of his life, providing clothing, food, Dr.'s bills, etc. ground were that Dickey was physically and mentally unsound to make a trade of his property and Norman took advantage of Dickey. |

Complainants F. C. Bearden and Archie Ferguson did business as Bearden & Ferguson, a firm that dealt in lumber, sash, doors, blinds, and other building materials. The company furnished such for erecting a house on a lot for Gaylon. He contracted the building to one Manis by verbal agreement. Manis never recorded the deed or paid anything on the house, so a real estate company sold the property to Gaylon. Gaylon sub-contracted the masonry to Scott, who eventually asked for a Mechanic's lien. |
