Ms. Martin exec. of Robert Martin dec. Additional defendant Eliza Rainey. Plaintiff conveyed to defendants on 12-1-1875 a parcel of land in Davidson Co. for $3495. She received $2000 in cash & placed a lien on the land to secure the payment of the three notes due 6, 12 & 18 months after 12-1-1875. The first note was unpaid when plaintiff brought an action to sell the land. Defendants claimed they received no notice of sale & that a sale was not justified since the second & third notes were not due. |

Haynes & George Gordon bought a tract of land from Ann McCampbell, admr. of John McCampbell, dec., via her agent Thomas McCampbell, for $1700.
