George S. Neville was a minor who sued his guardian, Albert R. Alley over the will of Clement H. Neville, dec.

Martha A. Osborne died intestate in July of 1891. At the time of her death she was in possession of a couple tracts of land. She left as her only heirs, David G. Gregory, James H. Gregory,Mrs. Mary M. West and one James S. Gregory. J.G. Osborne was appoin ted admr. Of the estate. Complainants seek to have the land sold so as to be equitably divided.

Defendant admr. of R.A. Ogilvie dec. Additional defendants: Sue Ogilvie; both defendants children of R.A. Ogilvie by another marriage. This bill filed to determine Plaintiff's share in certain unimproved Nashville lots. R.A. Ogilvie, Geo. Childress & H.A. McLemore bought the real estate as 'partners' in during a period known as the 'Boom' in 1887, with intent to sell them immediately & split profits equally. When the bottom fell out of market, land remained unsold at Ogilvie's death.

Judgments were rendered against Harris by Willis B. Embry, John Frieson, Wiliam Galloway & William Yarborough, in the form of judgment liens on the land. Then the 780 acres Giles Harris owned was sold at a sheriff's sale in 1865 for $5666.49. Suit was filed to settle the ownership of the land as well as the debts following the death of Harris.

This case revolves around 2 questions: 1)Did the widow of Jacob Harlan take a sole and separate estate under his will? 2) If so, did the proceeds from the sale of the estate follow into his hands for her benefit or did her second husband (Joseph A. Walker's) rights attach to the proceeds of the sale?

John Jones Hardwick, son of plaintiff, died instate in Washington County, Alabama in July 1839. At time of his death he was working a plantation in Clark County, Alabama with defendant, who was also the son of the plaintiff. The deceased owned 32 slaves and defendant owned 18 slaves that worked on the plantation. The deceased had debts when he died. 2 folders.

Plaintiff: J. F. Younger. Defendants: Martha J. Dawson, A. D. Vestal, Nancy S. Vestal, Elizabeth Vistal, J. W. Irvine, Janice Jones, admr., William Latta, dec., A. D. Sellers and wife, Joseph Williams, A. S. Godwin, etc. Seth Sparkman, admr. for Aaron Vestal, dec., filed a bill against Seth Godwin and the heirs at law of A. Vestal. A decree was rendered that the real estate belonging to the estate of A. Vestal be sold.

The complainant, Horace Browns child from his first marriage, filed suit in to claim clear title on land cohabited by the defendant and her children, Ida and Joseph Brown. H. Brown died intestate, with liens against his half interest in 23 acres of land. Complainants had built a house on one acre upon said property, and were promised it & enough land to keep a mule. Defendants deny that complainants have any claim to said land.

Cause of Action: Estate settlement and property claims.

Mayes, A. Flemming, & others (too many to list). Defendants claimed Franklin Hotel belonged to P. D. Franklin's widow not to his estate.
